We'll have ways you can pay on-line securly as well! The goal is to keep it all as inexpensive as possible. Also, any extra monies collected will go towards a Scholorship Fund!


Details So Far: 

Friday Evening,30 July 2004:  Doctor's Inlet Civic Center, for our "Jammin' Luau Cookout."  We'll throw some meat on the grill, a little A-1, BYOB, great friends and music, a few games, and we'll have a party!  

    The DICC is located about 2 miles south from OPHS, onPeoria Drive, off College Dr. & Blanding Blvd., next to the fire station.   The atmosphere will be fun and casual and letting the musicians have an opportunity to jam!  Here's your opportunity to show your stuff! Those not playing can pitch in to help grill, etc.  Several of us are planning on pitching in to cater the food.     

    FYI:The center itself has a large open room with solid wood floors, a stage, AC, two bathrooms, tables & chairs, and a full kitchen in the back of the facility with a serving bar.  It's a decorator’s challenge, but with our vision...we can turn this camp ground cabin atmosphere into a charmer!  It will be perfect for our first time attempt at this and it's still not out of the way or at a hotel, which means: we can keep this affordable for everyone.

    We are also planning on putting up a couple of big tents outside so smokers and others can mingle in and out.  We'll set up some tables, chairs, and a couple of fans outside to keep the air moving and mosquitoes away.  We will do what we must to keep the mosquitoes and no-see-ums away! =) Does anyone want to be responsible for getting tents or recommend a company?

Saturday Evening, 31 July 2004: Rivercove Officer's Club on NAS Jax, located one mile north of I-295 off US 17.

   The Officer's Club is lovely, overlooking theSt. John's River, and appropriate for a dressier evening.

    We are planning a Beef & Reef menu: salad, roast beef, crab legs, steamed shrimp, boneless chicken breast, Seafood Newberg, veggies, baked potato, rolls, tea, coffee, dessert. Also budgeting for each table will have a carafe of wine, memento, and alumni book. Other things, too, but that'll be the surprise! 

    NOTE: Due to 9/11 the security is tight on military installations.  There will be a guest list and everyone will have to fill out a registration form and file by fax, email, or US mail with Base Security at least one week prior to the event so that entrance on NAS Jax will flow smoothly on our event night. Information forms and instructions will accompany our mail outs.
